Fresh-air Fridays are a part of our COVID survival plan for parents and families. As Prince George's County reopens you are probably looking for some way to safely get your child out of the house. That is what Fresh-air Fridays is for.

Every other Friday we will meet in the green spaces near our learning center in central Bowie, MD to engage in an art or physically active activity using social distancing measures for safety.

Safety Measures:

1. Only 4 families will be allowed in each session to allow for proper social distancing space.

2. Families may only bring people who live in the same household or who care for their children on a regular basis.

3. Tables or obstacle courses will be positioned more than 6 feet from each other.  The instructor will demonstrate from afar.  Accompanying adults are expected to highly supervise and assist their children throughout.

4. Materials may not be shared from family group to family group.

5. Reusable supplies such as scissors, balls etc will be disinfected directly before the meeting and at the close of the meeting. Adults must be willing to use disinfectant wipes to clean their supplies before leaving.

6. Do not bring children who are unable to understand why they cannot visit other families' tables or obstacle courses.

7. No more than 5 people per table allowed, including adults.

8. Adults must wear masks. Children over the age of 2 are encouraged to wear masks. Children under the age of 2 should not accompany you.

9. Please do not visit other public spaces (such as stores, playgrounds, malls, post offices, etc) on your way to the event to avoid bringing other people's germs with you.

How it works:

1. Reserve your spot early online and pay for the number of children you intend to bring with you.

2. You will receive a confirmation email with the address the day before the event so that adjustments can be made for the weather predictions, when necessary. The email will give you the exact address and directions on how to find the event as the exact space may change from meeting to meeting.

3. Bring your children to the event and look for your family name on your table or near your obstacle course. Go directly there.

4. Have fun making art or conquering your obstacle course.

5. Use the disinfectant wipes to wipe down the reusable supplies your children touched and take your art home.

6. Sign up for the next one to ensure you get a spot.
