Era is a music teacher and an educational assistant/ writing tutor. She has
a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education and a Master’s in Higher Education
Leadership. She is currently a music teacher with experience teaching piano,
voice, and music theory.She is a believer that we all have our own learning styles and she
values student-centered planning. Also, she teaches Essay writing, ESL, and supplemental
English classes at Naugatuck Valley Community College where she assists students with all
stages of the writing process from topic identification through final editing across a
variety of academic disciplines.

Christopher Burwell is a certified software engineer with 3 years of professional experience working with different modern software development technologies mainly as a web developer. On top of that, he is a hobbyist musician and composer who’s been playing the piano since childhood. Combining both of his loves, he is an indie game developer who’s programmed and scored multiple of his own projects in his free time. He is passionate about giving students not just the information they need to complete assignments but the tools to solve problems on their own because he wants to enable them to finish those tasks and reach their goal in the most efficient way. His early experiences with tutors (in math, sports and piano) had a profound impact on my life. They helped me to develop the skills and knowledge that he needs to be successful. He is grateful for their guidance and support, and committed to providing the same level of support to the next generation of students.
