We will study history of Shakespeare, learn how to read/understand Shakespeare, students will be assigned scenes and/or monologues based on their skill level. Students will be on their feet performing as well as learning history!

They will build their audition "book" - leaving the class with multiple audition-ready monologues. We will work on audition skills like cold reading, improv, and taking notes quickly. Students will leave feeling much more prepared and comfortable auditioning.

skills: previous theatre experience suggested age: 12+ Date/Time: Wednesdays at 11a Each week we will study a different era in MT History - we will learn what was happening in the world, what inspired the Musical of the Week, and then we will learn some of the music/scenes from the Musical of the Week! We'll sing our way through history!

Virtual Theater Performance Institute Ages 7-12

Magic Treehouse: Dinosaurs Before Dawn

Does your child love performing? Are they always acting something out, singing and/or dancing around the room? 

Focus those behaviors into a self-confidence building theater experience in a COVID safe environment by participating in our Virtual Theater Performance Institute!

Everyone will get a part to play in a virtual production of Magic Treehouse Dinosaurs Before Dark. Rehearsals and instruction all take place online. Then the performance is both live-streamed to our private audience and recorded so that the kids can watch their own show later on!

Taught/directed by Rachel Beth Jackson.

Rachel is an accomplished actor and director both on stage and with virtual theater. She has been teaching our very popular and remote Intro to Theater class.
